Manjari believes that the artist’s vulnerability and experience of
culture shock can often transform a banal journey into an adventure,
and is constantly seeking out new contexts and stories to commit to
film. She has shot extensively in the US and India, exploring the
mythologies and the people that inhabit these lands. Through the
medium of body language and emotion, her work captures the human need
to communicate whether it be with the land, water or another human
being. In the past few years Manjari ‘s work has been showcased in several group and solo exhibitions both in the US and internationally. Most recently, her works were exhibited in the Critical Mass show ‘Across the Divide’ which was juried by Todd Hido and Espacio Nudage curated by José Luis Callejo and Gloria Rueda.
